Part-Time Summer Shelver

The Library is seeking a part-time shelver to work from June 1 through August 15 for approximately 9 hours per week including Monday and Wednesday evenings Saturday mornings. Duties include sorting and shelving library materials, pulling requested items from the shelves, emptying book drops, and shelf reading to assure materials are in the proper location.

Qualifications: This work is exacting and requires patience and attention to detail as well as proficiency in the use of the Dewey Decimal System. The applicant must be able to lift and transport materials within the library. The applicant must be at least 16 years of age and have completed at least 2 years of high school.
